Fairly confident what you have here is a mallee which rules out Coolabah, @Steve818 what do you think of Eucalyptus normantonensis?

Got it down to three species @tapirlord on EUCLID app. E.normantonenisi is one of them, and looks correct based on buds and fruit. Bark is meant to be smooth above basal rough bark. Hard to see in the sighting photo.

Apologies but I think this is a bandwidth problem. When the connection is weak, some photos fail to load so you don’t get photos needed for identification. I’ve checked and the bark is smooth above the basal rough barks. I can upload another sighting with the complete set of photos or you can take my word for it - that I have viewed and confirmed the other photos. It’s a problem trying to submit sightings from remote areas with generally crap network access - no wifi - I don’t think they have heard of wifi up here.

Yes, the buds and fruit are consistent with E. normantonensis; there are several herbarium records of the species from the same general area.
