What else do you suggest? Ssp Rubra has flat leaves CF ssp oppositifolia but that is in WA and SA anyway. Leaves become broader from West to East in a continuum, and the subspecies overlap in range- it is really a cline. Next closest spp. is dalyana which has terete leaves but it's in the same area. I did wonder, because of the non pink flowers, but the other experts within our group also concluded oppositifolia ssp rubra.
