Hi NatureMappers,
We've just loaded in the 110 priority species from the Commonwealth Threatened Species Action Plan 2022 - 2032.
This is a national species list that is active within all NatureMapr regions across Australia. I encourage everyone to check it out and gain familiarity with the species in the list.
Any records of any of these 110 priority species are extremely important for Australia to know about.
NatureMapr will feed your important records through to an increasing number of authoritative Australian government databases which ensures your records are VISIBLE TO DECISION MAKERS.
We are working on a small enhancement, where the system will soon recognise and notify you whenever you report a species that belongs to an important species list such as this.
Lewis and I are meeting the Commonwealth Threatened Species Commissioner later this week and looking forward to working more closely with the TSC as part of NatureMapr's national expansion.
Thanks everyone for your continued incredible contributions and moderators thank you for your invaluable time, expertise and knowledge sharing within the community. You guys absolutely rock!
Cheers
Aaron.
